China says exports rose 27% on-year in June, beating forecasts

Chinese exports jumped more than a quarter last month, official data showed Tuesday, providing a fresh boost to leaders as they look to kickstart growth in the world's second-largest economy.

Overseas shipments jumped 27.0 percent year-on-year, the General Administration of Customs said, beating the 19.0 percent forecast in a Bloomberg survey of economists.

Imports soared 36.0 percent, topping the 26.1 percent estimated in the Bloomberg survey.
