Fußball-Bundesligist Eintracht Frankfurt plant weiter nicht mit Elye Wahi. Wie der Klub am Montag mitteilte, wird der Stürmer erneut an den französischen Erstligisten OGC Nizza ausgeliehen. Dort spielte er bereits in der vergangenen Rückrunde, Nizza hat zudem eine Kaufoption für den 23-Jährigen.
In Frankfurt hatte sich der im Januar 2025 für wohl 26 Millionen Euro von Olympique Marseille verpflichtete Wahi nicht durchsetzen können. In 25 Pflichtspielen gelang ihm nur ein Tor. Bei der WM in den USA, Mexiko und Kanada war der Ivorer in drei Spielen im Einsatz.
