Maria, die zuletzt beim Grand Slam in Flushing Meadows nach einem Sieg über Jelena Ostapenko (Lettland) gegen Nikola Bartunkova (Tschechien) verloren hatte, war die einzige deutsche Spielerin in Guadalajara.
