عيّن الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع الجمعة الزعيم الكردي مظلوم عبدي مستشارا رئاسيا بعد أيام من إعلان الأخير حل قوات سوريا الديموقراطية بموجب اتفاق دمج مع دمشق.
ونص المرسوم الموقع من الشرع والذي نشرته وكالة "سانا" الرسمية على "تعيين مصطفى خليل عبدي (مظلوم عبدي) مستشاراً لدى رئاسة الجمهورية".
