رحّب حاكم مصرف سوريا المركزي صفوت رسلان برفع الولايات المتحدة بلاده من قائمة الدولة الراعية للإرهاب الاثنين، منهية بذلك تصنيفا اعتمدته منذ 47 عاما.
وكتب رسلان في منشور على منصة "إكس" تعقيبا على القرار الأميركي "إنهاء تصنيف سوريا كدولة راعية للإرهاب خطوة تاريخية تعيدها إلى موقعها الطبيعي في منظومة الاقتصاد العالمية"، مؤكدا أن المصرف المركزي يعمل "على بناء نظام مالي حديث وموثوق، قادر على المواكبة والاستفادة من جميع الفرص".
