أعلن الحوثيون في اليمن الاثنين أن قواتهم استهدفت ناقلة نفط سعودية في البحر الأحمر بصاروخ بالستي، في إطار سعي المتمردين المدعومين من إيران لفرض حصار بحري على المملكة.
وقال الحوثيون في بيان إنهم تمكنوا من "استهداف السفينة النفطية أمزان التابعة للعدوّ السعوديّ شماليّ البحر الأحمر أمام سواحل ينبع، وذلك بصاروخ بالستي، وكانت الإصابة دقيقة ومباشرة وأدت إلى نشوب حريق في السفينة، وهروب عدد من السفن الأخرى كانت متواجدة في منطقة الاستهداف".
