تعرّضت ناقلة نفط الاثنين لهجوم بـ"مقذوف مجهول" قبالة سواحل ينبع السعودية المطلة على البحر الأحمر، ما أسفر عن حريق في السفينة، بحسب ما أفادت هيئة عمليات التجارة البحرية البريطانية (يو كي إم تي أو).
وقالت الهيئة إنها تلقّت "بلاغا عن وقوع حادث على بعد 63 ميلا بحريا غرب ينبع في السعودية. وأفاد مسؤول أمن الشركة بأن ناقلة تعرضت لضربة بمقذوف مجهول، ما أدى إلى نشوب حريق على سطح السفينة الرئيسي"، مضيفة أن "جميع أفراد الطاقم بخير وتم التأكد من سلامتهم، ولم يتم الإبلاغ عن أي أثر بيئي".
