Wie die Schwaben mitteilten, erlitt der 26 Jahre alte Däne im DFB-Pokalspiel bei Hansa Rostock (4:0) am Freitag eine "Muskelverletzung an der Oberschenkelrückseite, die den Linksfuß in den kommenden Wochen zu einer Pause zwingt". Nartey, der in Rostock als Rechtsverteidiger auflief, war an der Ostsee bereits nach neun Minuten ausgewechselt worden. Für ihn kam Josha Vagnoman ins Spiel.
Der VfB startet am Freitag (20.30 Uhr/Sat.1 und Sky) beim Rekordmeister und Titelverteidiger Bayern München in die Bundesliga-Saison.
