اعتبرت الصين الجمعة أن "العقوبات والضغوط" الأميركية على إيران ليست الحلّ، بعد أن حضّت واشنطن حلفاءها وبكين على الانضمام إلى حملة واسعة للضغط الاقتصادي على طهران، تهدف إلى "سقوط النظام" فيها من دون معاودة الحرب.
وقال الناطق باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية لين جيان في مؤتمر صحافي دوري إن "العقوبات والضغوط لن تساهم في حل المشكلة". وأضاف أن "الصين تدعو الأطراف المعنية كافة إلى اتخاذ إجراءات مسؤولة وحل المشكلة عبر السبل السياسية والدبلوماسية".
