أعلنت الولايات المتحدة الثلاثاء فرض عقوبات على رئيسة المحكمة الجنائية الدولية، اليابانية توموكو أكاني، ومسؤول آخر رفيع المستوى، في إطار حملتها ضد هذه الهيئة التي تتهمها بأنها "مُسيّسة".
وقال وزير الخارجية الأميركي ماركو روبيو في بيان أعلن فيه عن عقوبات تستهدف أيضا نائب المدعي العام للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية، القاضي السنغالي عبد الله سي، إن القاضيين "شاركا بشكل مباشر في جهود المحكمة الجنائية الدولية الرامية إلى التحقيق أو توقيف أو احتجاز أو محاكمة مسؤولين لم تقبل حكوماتهم ولاية المحكمة".
