Bei einem Hubschrauberabsturz über einem Waldgebiet in Sachsen ist der Pilot ums Leben gekommen. Das Unglück passierte am Freitag während Forstarbeiten in einem Wald im Erzgebirgskreis, wie die Polizei in Chemnitz mitteilte. Arbeiter am Boden zogen den Piloten aus der verunglückten und brennenden Maschine. Er starb aber noch vor Ort an seinen Verletzungen.
Einsatzkräfte löschten das Feuer und verhinderten eine weitere Ausbreitung. Die Absturzursache war den Angaben zufolge noch unklar. Die Chemnitzer Kriminalpolizei nahm zusammen mit der Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung die Ermittlungen auf.
