Ein 24-Jähriger soll in Frankfurt am Main einen gleichaltrigen Mann getötet haben. Der Tatverdächtige sei auf der Flucht, teilte die Polizei am Mittwoch mit. Demnach ereignete sich die Tat am Dienstagmittag im Stadtteil Nied. Die beiden Männer trafen in einem Wohnhaus aufeinander und gerieten in einen Streit. Dieser eskalierte in Gewalt.
Einer der Männer soll den anderen mit einem Messer schwer verletzt haben. Anschließend sei der mutmaßliche Täter mit zwei weiteren Menschen zu Fuß geflohen, hieß es. Das Opfer erlag seinen Verletzungen noch am Tatort. Mit einem Großaufgebot suchten die Einsatzkräfte nach dem Tatverdächtigen.
Die Hintergründe der Tat blieben unklar. Den Ermittlungen zufolge kannten sich beide Männer.
