Luca Armbruster hat bei der Schwimm-EM in Paris seinen deutschen Rekord verbessert und sich für das Finale über 50 m Schmetterling qualifiziert. Der 24-Jährige schlug im Halbfinale am Montagabend nach 22,71 Sekunden an und unterbot damit seine Bestmarke von 22,84 Sekunden aus dem vergangenen Jahr um mehr als eine Zehntelsekunde.
"Ich bin super happy, es ist besser gelaufen, als ich es erwartet hatte", sagte Armbruster, der als insgesamt Fünfter in das Finale am Dienstag (18.37 Uhr/ZDF-Livestream) einzog, in der ARD. Er versuche nun "einfach die Spannung und die Stimmung mitzunehmen - mal schauen, was geht."
