Vizeweltmeisterin Pauline Pfeif kann bei der Schwimm-EM in Paris auf die nächste Medaille im Turmspringen hoffen. Die 24-Jährige zog am Montagmittag mit 307,55 Punkten als Zweite des Vorkampfs in das Finale der Top-Zwölf am Abend (21.00 Uhr) ein. Auch ihre Berliner Vereinskollegin Elena Wassen qualifizierte sich als Siebte (275,55 Punkte).
Als Duo hatten Pfeif und Wassen am Samstag mit Silber im Synchronwettbewerb für das erste deutsche Edelmetall in der französischen Hauptstadt gesorgt. Bislang stehen für die Wasserspringer drei Medaillen zu Buche. Neben Pfeif und Wassen gelang Moritz Wesemann (Gold/1-m-Brett) sowie dem Synchronduo Lena Hentschel und Luis Avila Sanchez (Bronze/3-m-Brett) der Sprung auf das Podium.
