Experten erwarten, dass die Notenbank den Leitzins zum vierten Mal in Folge unverändert lässt. US-Präsident Donald Trump dringt dagegen weiter auf einen deutlichen Zinsschnitt.
Warsh gilt als Vertrauter Trumps. Er folgte dem langjährigen Fed-Chef Jerome Powell nach, den Trump als "Versager" beschimpft hatte, weil er sich nicht für die gewünschte Leitzinssenkung einsetzte. Eine erhöhte Unsicherheit für die Fed sehen Analysten aktuell vor allem durch den Ölpreis, der im Krieg gegen den Iran zeitweise wieder über die Marke von 100 Dollar gestiegen ist.
