عبّر الرئيس اللبناني جوزاف عون الثلاثاء عن امتنانه للدعم الأميركي لبلاده بعد لقائه في واشنطن مع نظيره دونالد ترامب.
وقالت الرئاسة اللبنانية في بيان إن عون كتب في السجل الذهبي في البيت الأبيض "أغادر هذا المكان التاريخي بتقدير كبير لصداقة الرئيس ترامب، وللدعم الذي تقدمه الولايات المتحدة الأميركية للبنان ولسيادته ولمؤسساته الشرعية، وللقوى المسلحة اللبنانية"، مشيرا إلى أن "الاجتماع مع الرئيس ترامب (كان) جيدا جدا".
