قال الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الاثنين، إنه أجرى "محادثة جيدة جدا" مع رئيس الوزراء البريطاني الجديد آندي بورنم، مشيدا ب"العلاقة المتميزة" التي تربط بين واشنطن ولندن، ومشيرا إلى أن أنهما سيلتقيان قريبا.
وأكد ترامب في منشور على منصة تروث سوشال أن "رئيس الوزراء أمامه مهمة كبيرة، لكنه سيكون قادرا على إنجازها، وبالطبع ستكون الولايات المتحدة حاضرة للمساعدة"، مضيفا أنهما ناقشا قضايا تشمل التجارة والتعاون العسكري وإزالة الألغام من مضيق هرمز.
