أكد رئيس الوزراء البريطاني الجديد آندي بورنم، التزامه بالدفاع والأمن خلال أول اتصال هاتفي مع الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب الاثنين، بحسب ما صرح المتحدث باسمه.
وأورد مكتب رئيس الوزراء أن بورنم "أكد أن ضمان أمن المملكة المتحدة وحلفائها في مقدم أولوياته"، مشيرا إلى أن رئيس الوزراء الجديد دعا ترامب الى زيارة مدينة مانشستر في شمال البلاد والتي كان رئيسا لبلديتها.
