أعلنت عائلة النجم السابق لليفربول ومنتخب إنكلترا كيفن كيغان، وفاته يوم الإثنين عن 75 عاما بعد صراع مع مرض السرطان.
وجاء في بيان صادر عن عائلة كيغان "ببالغ الحزن والأسى نعلن وفاة كيفن كيغان عن 75 عاما".
ودافع كيغان خلال مسيرته عن ألوان العديد من الفرق أبرزها ليفربول وهامبورغ الألماني، محققا العديد من الألقاب الجماعية والفردية، أبرزها الدوري الإنكليزي والدوري الألماني دوري أبطال أوروبا، إضافة إلى الكرة الذهبية في مناسبتين في 1978 و1979.
