Au moins 40 personnes sont portées disparues et présumées mortes à la suite du chavirement de leur embarcation dans l’État de Jigawa, dans le nord-ouest du Nigeria, a déclaré lundi à l’AFP le porte-parole de la police, Shi’isu Adam.
Jusqu’à "40 personnes se sont noyées lorsque leur bateau traversait la rivière, parmi lesquelles des femmes et des enfants", a indiqué M. Adam à propos de l’accident survenu dimanche, ajoutant que six corps ont été retrouvés.
