Le chef des députés conservateurs allemands, Jens Spahn, a démissionné samedi après des attaques au sein de son propre camp pour avoir eu avec son mari un enfant via la gestation pour autrui (GPA) aux États-Unis, une pratique interdite en Allemagne, a appris l'AFP de sources au sein du parti.
Président du groupe parlementaire CDU/CSU du chancelier Friedrich Merz, Jens Spahn a adressé une lettre à ses collègues obtenue par l'AFP dans laquelle il écrit: "Ces derniers jours, j’ai compris que mon bonheur personnel, qui consiste à fonder une famille avec mon mari et à devenir père, est incompatible avec ma fonction politique".
