L'ONU a appelé vendredi à la tenue d'enquêtes impartiales sur des dizaines de décès signalés au Cachemire administré par le Pakistan, survenus dans un contexte d'affrontements locaux à l'approche des élections régionales.
Le Haut-Commissaire des Nations unies aux Droits de l'homme, Volker Türk, "appelle au calme au Cachemire administré par le Pakistan", a déclaré son porte-parole Jeremy Laurence à la presse à Genève, ajoutant que M. Türk réclamait "des enquêtes rapides, approfondies et impartiales sur tous les décès, tant chez les manifestants que parmi les forces de l'ordre".
