Le Parlement français a définitivement adopté mercredi la proposition de loi visant à créer un droit à l'"aide à mourir", qui doit permettre à certains malades atteints de pathologies graves d'obtenir sous conditions l'administration d'un produit létal.
Pour entériner cette promesse d'Emmanuel Macron maintes fois retardée, le gouvernement avait donné le dernier mot à l'Assemblée nationale - la chambre basse du Parlement -, qui a approuvé le texte par 291 voix contre 241, sous les yeux de partisans et d'opposants au texte, présents dans les tribunes.
Le président français a remercié les parlementaires pour leur "débat constructif et respectueux".
