Inflation: la Fed "doit se tenir prête" à relever ses taux d'intérêt, prévient un responsable
La Réserve fédérale américaine (Fed) risque de devoir relever ses taux d'intérêt "à court terme" si l'inflation continue d'évoluer dans la mauvaise direction, a prévenu lundi un de ses hauts responsables.
La banque centrale "doit se tenir prête à resserrer sa politique monétaire pour éviter une répétition de l'épisode d'inflation de 2021-22", a déclaré dans un discours le gouverneur Christopher Waller en référence au dérapage des prix ayant suivi la pandémie de Covid-19.
