Les garde-côtes japonais ont indiqué mardi avoir expulsé deux navires chinois d'eaux proches des îles disputées Senkaku, appelées Diaoyu par Pékin, qui sont situées entre Taïwan et l'archipel d'Okinawa dans le sud du Japon.
Les garde-côtes nippons leur ont "donné l'ordre de quitter les lieux (...) parvenant à contraindre les navires des garde-côtes chinois à sortir des eaux territoriales japonaises vers 9h20 ce matin" (00H20 GMT), selon un communiqué.
