New AFP Foundation project in preparation of COP21

Journalists interested in the science of climate change and its political, social and economic fallout are invited to watch a series of videos launched by the AFP Foundation.

Produced by journalists working for AFP’s environment reporting service and AFP-TV, the videos contain background information and interviews with experts.

The videos are part of a project on climate and sustainable development commissioned by the United Nations Foundation.

The first in the series examines the possibility of tackling climate change through geo-engineering, an idea that has divided the scientific community. It can be accessed via the website http://www.fondation.afp.com/content/top-cop21-en.

A total of 12 videos will be produced in English and 12 in French before the start of the COP21 conference in Paris on November 30. The project will also include a series of hour-long live question-and-answer sessions with specialist AFP reporters.
